Overlay Images Online

Combine a main image and overlay in your browser. Drag, resize, rotate, and download a PNG.

Upload a base image to start

Overlay Images lets you place one image over another without uploading either file to a server. Upload a main image as the background, then add a logo, watermark, product image, or other visual on top. Drag, resize, rotate, and download the finished PNG when it looks right.

How to Overlay Images

  1. Click Upload Main Image and choose the image you want to use as the background.
  2. Click Upload Overlay Image and choose the image to place on top.
  3. Drag the overlay to position it. Use the four corner handles to resize it, or use the rotation handle to turn it.
  4. Click Download Image to save the composition as a PNG.

The overlay can extend beyond the main image while you edit. Any part outside the main image is cropped from the final download.

What You Can Make

  • Add a logo or transparent PNG watermark to a photo.
  • Put a product cutout, sticker, or badge on a background image.
  • Prepare simple social media graphics and promotional images.
  • Create a visual mockup by placing a design over a photograph.

Private, Browser-Based Editing

Your images are processed in your browser. They are not sent to the Inset server, and closing or refreshing the page clears the current editor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I move an overlay outside the background image?

Yes. You can drag the overlay freely, including beyond the background boundaries. The preview and downloaded image crop everything outside the main image.

Can I resize and rotate the overlay image?

Yes. Drag a corner handle to resize it while keeping its proportions, and drag the rotation handle above the image to rotate it.

Does the download match the editor preview?

Yes. The PNG download keeps the overlay position, size, rotation, and crop shown in the editor. It is exported at three times the editor's 375px base width.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. This tool works locally in your browser and does not upload the images to Inset.
